Which One Is Best Forum Signature Or Blog Commenting

Diversity is important.

It really depends on what you're after. Blog commenting establishes authority faster than forum posting, whereas forum posting ensures better traffic than blog commenting.

 

I personally have seen better results from blog commenting in terms of SEO value. However, it is true that if a particular page in a forum or a blog is more authoritative then that page will be the most beneficial whether it is a blog comment or forum.

I have noticed, though, that backlinks from forums appear in Yahoo Site explorer or other link analysis tools much quicker than most blog comments do. So, forum backlinks are good for more immediate satisfaction, even if they potentially may not be as beneficial in the long run

 

both have their own pros & cons

forum posting requires a lot of posts for your signature link to be visible in posts
it also needs you to be a member for xx days {depends on the forum}
the more posts you have on the forum, the more backlinks you will get

blog commenting on the other hand is comparatively less time consuming if you know how to find dofollow blogs
you don't have to register an account to start commenting & you will find yourself free to leave a comment whenever you feel like
the number of outgoing links on a blog are comparatively less then those on big & trusted forums so, you will get more weightage if commenting on blogs

All links are valuable & you should just keep on adding links on a daily basis. High PR Backlinks are difficult to get, but can be found if you put honest efforts. Based on my experience, the benefit of Blog Commenting is that it reflects on the search engine immediately while search engines take some time to include Forum Search Engine in the search results and consider it for pagerank.

 

blog commenting is good, but its difficult because
- some blogs are nofollow
- sometimes your comments wont get approved
- you have to be safe from Akismet

but with forum comments, you don't have that much problems and forum comments can gain more referral traffic.

 

When Blog commenting is no follow so how it is useful.....
i think that will be just a waste of time???

 

Is there any solid evidence for or against one method vs the other. Seems to be alot of opinions flying around. Im curious how link value can be measured in real terms
