You can use wordpress with ecommerce plugin. If u don't like wordpress, i think prestashop is one of alternative.

The choice of CMS depends on your needs. However for an ecommerce site i would prefer Joomla to wordpress.

Joomla is good but in wordpress you have lots of other options like there is a good support available for wordpress in DP, so you can solve your problems here !!

I'd say go with Wordpress as well - the amount of resources and support available for wordpress is amazing. Not to mention that it's so easy to use as well!

Both WP and Joomla are good solutions.

Joomla's integration with Virtuemart make it a stronger contender for me.

Agreed, Joomla & Wordpress. A custom WP site takes time but works really well and looks professional.

Wordpress is good but Joomla is definitely more suited for eCommerce with its template styles. After learning how to use Joomla's CMS, it all becomes a piece of cake to manage.

wordpress has an eCommerce plugin (www.instinct.co.nz/e-commerce/). I used it a couple of years back, but changed to magento as it was not suitable for my needs (not many options). If you have a lot of products, then I suggest getting a separate CMS & ecommerce software. I honestly don't why you need to integrate both.
