I think manishtoronto meant as an advertiser not as a publisher.

Adbrite worked the best for me. But, you have to be VERY careful what site you choose to advertise on. I really take an in-depth look at the website, where the ads are placed, how much traffic, etc. before purchasing an ad from Abrite because you can easily get junk traffic from them. I would spend over an hour or two looking, but once I found one, I would usually get about 500-2000 hits/day for paying $3/month on one site.

Adbrite and Adengage are good, but that's only if you choose which sites you want to advertise on. I have never done a RON. I always have looked into a site and seen where the ads are shown, what sort of traffic the network gets, etc. before I have actually advertised with it.
