Which one better Pay Per lead or Pay Per Sale ? for DATING

    Hi there,
    I have question which one will works best

    pay per lead (free member)

    or Pay per sale (paid member)

    I do get decent free member each month,
    and my calculation is :

    I get about 200-300 free member each month
    let say 250 X $4.00 = $1,000 (one time only)

    but if I switch to pay per sale
    250 Free Member with conversion 5% = 13 paid member
    13 X $25.00 = $325 + some recurring payment


    well anyone here know which one will work best in the long run

    also is 5% conversion is easy to archive ?
    how long usually they stay on paid member ? 1 month ? 2 month ?

    pay per lead, is always better IMO, to get someone to buy something threw a ad atleast in my niche is next to impossible, but leads are easy. Maybe try to find pay per lead + pay per sale, so they pay you for the lead even if they didnt buy anything (Hard to find mind you )

    Yeah i do know pay per sale is hard
    the only thing that make me think twice is the recurring income after that sale

    I'm talking about long term project,

    anyone has try this for a while and know which method will work best ?
    or simply share with us the % free visitor become paid member
    and how long they stay as member (just some average)

    I can do calculation myself :)

    PPL is good for traffic of people which are looking for freebies. Rev. share works nice on 'quality' traffic of adult pple with credit cards.

    Its always good to try both options and chose more profitable ;)

    But generally, pay per lead is better.

    Find one that pays for lead and sale, ie you get your cash for each free registration, and you also get the commision when some of those free registations eventually sign up as member.

    well... that will be the perfect case..
    pay per lead + commision when they convert to become paid member

    but as far as I know, there are no such program like that

    please let me know if you guys found something like this

    It depends really on how well you can sell. If you are good at selling then you could make more from the pay per sale one, but if it's the other way around then you may be better off with the pay per lead one.

    The best thing would probably be to test both if you can.
