I, myself, when I am older want to hopefully use Adsense as part of my income, and my job as a Webmaster. I'm nearly 15, and I've got a lot of work to do if this is going to happen.

So, who else wants to do the same, or already does?

First of all, to be not even 15 and already thinking about careers you are way ahead of a lot of other people, which is great. I am much older and I'm sure not as talented of a webmaster and make decent money on adsense. I think an idea for you in the future is to find companies that do not have a web presence yet and offer to build a website for them for free or very cheaply in exchange for paying you monthly to handle the hosting and maintenance of the website and also letting you insert google adsense ads in the website from your adsense account. This way you will have recurring income from every site you build for someone else and as you learn more about adsense and seo you can tweak the sites, learn to drive traffic to them, etc. and you will be making the companies happy by driving traffic to their sites while making money for yourself from adsense. After a while, I'm sure it will add up to a good amount. Anyway, just a thought.

One thing to bear in mind - never put you eggs in one basket ... adsense is a great source of income if you work at is as you can constantly grow income as income = traffic ... more traffic = more income...

But a Google ban will lead to no income so you always needs to diversify

Thanks for the info, it sounds like a nice idea that I may have to take up in future :)

Yeah I understand where you're coming from here. I'm already registered to other PPC programs like WidgetBucks, Adbrite, Bidvertiser and several others in case, and I have a few other methods of income, such as my directories which could do well at the next PR update.

Although this is true, do NOT forget to enjoy your youth. You have your entire life to work!

    Just a little life advice...:)

But, to answer your question, Adsense is one part of my living. Like someone mentioned above, best not to have all your eggs in one basket. I use multiple affiliate programs and what-nots to make a few dollars. They all add up in the end. And if one has a bad month, it's not a big deal.

I am nearly 17 and don't make very much at all from adsense, but it would be nice in a couple of years to make a fair amount from Google to supplement any money that I might make from Web Design. Lets hope the future is bright :D.

I quit my job about 4 or 5 months ago to try and make a living at this. I almost made it, but I'm going to have to get another job. However, in these months I've built up a very nice income, so having a job again + all of this additional income will be amazing.

After getting another job and having extra money I'll be able to invest in more advertising and more customization of my scripts and websites. It won't be too much longer before I do this for a living :)

I think everyone here wants to make a living off adsense. One of the things about making a living on adsense is the fact that you don't have to live in expensive locations for the jobs. You can move wherever you want. Making 20k/year off adsense and living in NY or CA won't amount to much. However, making 20k/year and living in the midwest is a lot of money since the cost of living in those locations is very low.

Well it must be nice to have a bit of extra income.

Yeah, I see what you mean. I'd love to live in the USA someday :)

Another 17 year old here (18 in June). I'd love to have various internet projects making me a ton of cash when i'm older. I also want to be a Webmaster/Web Developer...need to get through college and get a degree though, first. But who knows? By time i finish college i may already be making a load on the net and won't need a degree...

    :D

Above all PPC may be replaced by PPA long term or at least not pay as high as it used to. I remember the time where 1000 banners impression did cost 100$, this time has passed, CPC as we know today may also pass in the future.
