    Which of this batter for SEO?

    i would like to sstart forums for one of my site to helping people

    what domain is helping me more

    www . my domain . com / forums

    or

    Forums . my domain . com

    my main keyword in top position in google

    so which one i go?

    should be not effected current ranking

    I agree with all ... most of the times the first one (directory) is better, but I'm just thinking here if you are already ranked in first SERP for your keyword it might be better to make the forum on a subdomain so the user generated contents won't affect your keyword density. Cuz as I understood from your question is that you're not adding the forum to enhance your rank but to help your visitors.

    forums should be on sub-domain level. if it is on main root level and multiple users come, it becomes hard to maintain bandwidth.
