Which of these two designs should I continue with?

I bought the site http://www.myspace4pimps.com a few months ago and it included the current design that you would see by going to that URL.

I didn't think it looked very 'pimplike', so I started working on a new design, although I know that it still needs work... but, how does it look to all of you? http://www.myspace4pimps.com/test.php

I know that with both designs, I have alot of work to do to fix the site overall.

So, what I am asking: Should I start fixing the site using 1) the original design, 2) The New Design (and continue working the colors of course) or 3) Something else altogether (suggestions please).

To be all honest both were very bad for the eyes. The colors are terrible. The layouts are boring and resemble the thousands of other like sites. I would lokk for a whole new design.

First one is not so bad. The second one is much worse. Try the other way.

 

I didn't care for either one. Try more moderate usage of strong colors.

 

The reason I was going with bold colors with the second one was to move towards a 'pimpish' look. Should I even bother with that type of color scheme or ignore the use of the word 'pimp' in the name and go more professional?

Actually, looking at the answers above, I think I can answer my own question. Design from scratch, maybe using a nice clean, quick loading, conservatively colored design?

 

I think you should go more professional, why dont you vary a mix of sober colours?

 

the first is not so good and the second one is worse than the first one and also it causes problem in opera.

 

i like the first one better, but as you mentioned its not so "pimplike" but the second one doesnt look good..go try another design!
