Hey guys. I posted here a few days ago about whether i would get accepted into the adsense program. I did. And i also tried following the advice I got in that thread about my website. Stuff like adding more 200+ word content, and stuff like that. I also got alot of people saying the site was to bright, colourful and hurt their eyes. So i listened. I created a second home page, and I want you guys to decide which one you would rather look at; which one is more enjoyable to see. But keep in the mind the new one (the less colorful one) is just a prototype of what it could be. Both look good to me. The first one looks great! But yes it is hard to see the navigation buttons under the yellow/red. Also looks like an ad for McDonalds Second one looks clean, ads look more prominent with the white on black.. I like your overall design and style.
The original looks great? Does it hurt your eyes? Is it to bright? Does the background draw your attention away from the actual content? Did you click my ads If you had a choice. Which one would you want to look at more?
LOL No it didn't hurt my eyes I was not aware of any ads in the first on though (within 5 seconds) I saw the ads right away in the 2nd one. I like different things about each one. If I had to pick, I'd pick the 2nd one with the navigation font of the first one.
Thanks alot mate. Yeah I'm thinking of converting the entire site to the second version, but incorporating some of the old site stuff into the new one. hello, the first one is good.I didn't hurt eyes anyway, the ones who said might be having problem with their display unit.
I would use the first template, but extend the center so that is using the whole space, as in the second version
Great second effort. I liked the first as well, the only problems with this original design would be that it could've been reduced in width and the footer was a little bonkers. With the new one I would just reduce the size of the text font for the privacy policy, you could even add it in your navigation list below "Submit Idea"! Keep it up.
