Which of these laptops is better?

Hey guys, recently my laptop broke down and I started to look for a new one. I picked out 2 laptops, both are same price but can't figure out which is better. Check out these laptops then poll (I really don't care about the screen size, but I'm mainly looking for a better performing laptop)

I would say HP

 

Well I think HP laptops is much better then compaq so i voted for HP.

 

Oh wow price of that hp laptop went from 450 to 580 in one day! Now I have these choices (updated in first post)

 

actually HP is a bigger company and Compaq has a collaboration with HP so its like a sub company, both company's are good

 

The first link doesn't work. The 2nd link shows a laptop with an AMD CPU. Don't buy a Laptop with an AMD CPU unless you want it to overheat and last shorter time on battery. Also Intel CPUs outperform the AMDs on the same frequency.

Choose an Intel Core2Duo CPU. It's very important for Laptops, trust me.

 

i love HP computers i have a big one and it still works for me

 

Compaq is under HP. HP is good, they are doing alot of improvement in both quality and price recently.
Their sales increase rate listed at the top 5 last year

 

I have had both a HP and a Compaq Laptop. I had problems with both. The HP was total crap and everything went wrong once the warranty was up. The other one, the wireless went out shortly after the warranty expired. I suggest doing some research and find another brand.

 

My brother-in-law worked for HP/Compaq until a couple months ago. If you touch a Compaq case, you touched my brother-in-law . I would not buy a Compaq. I got Compaq laptops for free. Run it a little while. Breaks. Pitch it and get another.

 

Hp laptops are the best. I'm using one right now...

 

I like Lenovo so both of them are not better against lenovo

 

With that price range, you can't get a decent one from Dell, so I'd go with the HP

 

I go for HP.

 

I choose HP.

 

If you think about budget, get Compaq.

in india ..hp rocks in all sense..except we have famous indian film star as brand ambassador for compaq

 

Both are same company.. Different brands..
