I'm going to start promoting affiliate programs without using AdWords or any paid promotion. Which of these really work for promoting affiliate products & are there any other techniques that really work. I do not want to spend a bunch of time creating something only to find out later that it was a waste of time. Hubpages-Squidoo-Stumbleupon-Blogger
Use all of them. Seriously, you need to have your name and your website in as many places on the net as possible. HubPages and Squidoo are good because you can give the reader as much information as you want, with links etc. I purchased a great course that helped me learn to use these in concert with each other and to use bookmarking sites and others to create a synergistic system to generate traffic. It works, but you have to put it in place. Good luck.
Hubpages rank REALLY fast. But you are only allowed 2 links to any particular site. I don't believe actual affiliate links are allowed on Squidoo - so be careful there, you want to point to a blog or niche site where your links are.
I set up a site for a certain product that I want to promote and use all of the above to build links and traffic to the site.
I agree that's it's a good idea to use as many different methods of promotion as possible. I have used all of the above, except hubpages, which I have yet to try. And Squidoo does allow affiliate links... I actually think blogs are a pretty easy place to start. Adding fresh content is most important to get good search engine ranking. The key is actually getting started, which can sometimes be the hardest thing of all. Don't get caught in the I need to learn more first trap. You will learn as you go and the best way to find out what you need to know is to actually do something. Good luck, Diane
Nothing will beat using google adwords if you have the money to invest... but if you can't then do online marketing through as many different means as possible... get your product out there...
