I know most people say the text link ads convert much better than banner ads, but is this always the case?
I am using text ads but sometimes I doing both and when I have done it in my blogs it convert much better now compared before wherein I have not chosen proper ad placement as well as using text link ads
I think it's really niche dependent and placement dependent. I did this: ran two separate codes for ads, one text only, one image only. Then I let it run like that and later analysed the CTR. The results were comparable; text unit recieved the similar amount of clicks as image unit, there was no significant difference. Perhaps you could run this test for your niche too, in an A/B testing way (same placement, same time, random showup).
I can make image ads that do better than their text equivalent for ANY niche. Its not secret that a well designed ad is like superglue for the eyeballs.
Yes, I also agree with that, but I thought the thread is about AdSense ads that we cannot control so much. I completely agree a nicely designed ad can do much more. You know what they say - one picture says a thousand words.
Yup. Theres always that difference between the ad you see that was thrown together for $5 and the ones a corporation pays $2-500 for. It just depends on how high you need your conversion to be!
not always the case though but i notice that travel niche and arcade niche earns low with banner ads.
