I voted for all three opions, however I really like the idea of graphing. I made a Gnumeric spreadsheet (on Linux) that graphs. Its really easy to graph the data because I can create my own custom graphs (not limited to a certain type) and whenever I want to generate a new graph I just cut and paste the data. Coldfusion has some neat graphing options but I dont' have a CF server setup. Digitalpoint has a graphing tool if you upload your CSV file, but who wants to give away private information like this away. Also its limited to only a few types of graphs. And on a spreadsheet you can manipulate it much more. I was going to post a few graphics up, but its too bad you can only upload so many KB. I was over like 4kb, how stupid.
All three of these, plus some more protection from Click Bombing, Nice cool ads with glass effects (like in Vista) or i dont mind if they just move on from win98ish to winxp style atleast with hover effects. Transparent background ads with technology to grab background color and show the inverted color as in Winxp inverted cursor set. Is that too much? and yeah something in the account reports that shows how much we have done servicing PSA's and the amount that google will donate coz of us
How bout customizable ads? Like text-decoration off and then when hovered over text-decorationn (underline). That'd be neat.
Yeah, nice, but we can just request or share our views, the fact is Google won't do anything that isnt going to earn them more money or attention, so I dont think they'll like to alter adsense for say next 4 years .
Google might not hear your pleas, but firefox did Displays adsense stats in the status bar, and has the capablity of auto-login I use it, its simply an adsenser's dream come true Download https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/moreinfo.php?id=500 Code (markup):
KISS - Keep it short and simple. Specifying the url's on which your account is allowed to run is a great ideea. Also lets you click away on your banners without risking a ban.
IMO Google is very reluctant to give us too much info regarding where the clicks are coming from. I believe they are afraid that anything like that will only encourage more and more made for adsense sites with useless content.
Thank God Google isn`t going to read this thread! Ads with flash, transparency, animation! argh!! The lack of "DOWNLOAD EMOTICONS NOW" type of ads in adsense is what makes it so special. And about the cookie thing, I guess they're just being cautious about our accounts. After all, it's real money, and I bet some stupid people would be enough of an ass to sue google after being "hacked" by someone that used his account after the owner left the public computer. I would really welcome improvements in ad bombing protection, and with that, I see no need for "warnings" before banning people. If you're doing the right thing you wont get banned. People are used to cross the limits only to learn that they should have stopped a notch before that line, those people deserve the ban. I for one welcome the good publishers, that try to do the best without stepping in any kind of gray area.
Someone gave me a "Stop bumping old threads you FUCKING IDIOT!" reputation point in this thread, weird, the last message before mine was from 3 days ago.
LOL! And sorry about the bumping on the older threads, I was just catching up on the forums, I'm new here but I already read almost the entire thing already!
i'm a mod. frankly i don't see anything wrong with bumping an old thread if you have an opinion or question. what most people find irritating is if you bump it with "i agree..." or "welcome to DP".
All of all new features.. I think the very very important feature is missing on google adsense.. That is blocking our own ip from impressions and clicking. I know many webmaster got banned from google because of their own click on their ads from their own computer/ip.. Am I right?
I would rather suggest google to make their ads be pointing to the right url for the publisher but without making him pay. There's a lot of interesting links you can find sometimes, Google could cash up the money for himself instead of banning the publisher... That's not really intelligent.
