I would say Tenniscourtside.com, more suitable for a site featuring tennis news, photos, merchandise, tournaments and strategies. Tennisvoice.com is also good but more suitable for a forum related to tennis imo.

    Thanks

    it's still 50/50...
I also like Voice b/c it's shorter but "courtside" seems to encompass all.

Voice reminds me of NY's VillageVoice news and classifieds.

courtside is down on the court with the players, tournaments up close and personal, shopping but that could also be tennisvoice...jeez..

At the end of the day, it's the content which is more important.

    Good luck!

    My vote for TennisVoice.com.

    Reasons:

    1. It is shorter and easier to remember.

    2. People can buzz this domain by mentioning TV.

Good Luck with the development :)

I think you have to be into tennis to realise why courtside is the better name :)

Good point - you don't have to be interested in tennis to recognise the words "tennis" and "voice", whereas "courtside" is not such a familiar word/phrase and makes it a lengthier name. It's a simple bit of HCI if you ask me - the lighter the cognitive workload of the user, i.e. the less they have to think, the easier it is for them to remember. Quick, easy and instantly comprehendible. Bingo!

Yeah, but you want to cater to your target audience. Shorter is not always better IMO. The tennis crowd easily associate "courtside" with a tennis website, and would probably remember the website because of that.

amazing...yes I am a tennis bum..played in college and still avidly love the game.

I agree, a tennis fan will remember "courtside" better. It implies tennis or basketball with a close view.

"voice" is easy but implies narrative columns and interviews. I want it to have all sorts of stuff.
maybe I'll put a Sharapova grunt or video in there somehow.

I guess the better question should be:

1.) for the avg sports fan, what site is a better name ?

2.) for the real tennis fan, which is better... ? if there any fans left since Pete and Agassi retired, although Federer is awesome and the Tiger Woods of Tennis )

still waiting for replies....and asking my hitting partners.

    thanks for your opinions.
