Ok, I've been running my Web hosting company for 2.5 years now. Up until now, I've used the name GlobalWebBrands. However, I just purchased a new domain, and am calling the company TopWebhost. My question is this: Which name should I use? The domains are: globalwebbrands.com topwebhost.ws GlobalWebBrands is PR4, has many backlinks, etc. It's also a dotcom. TopWebhost has none of this; yet, the TopWebhost name relates to Web hosting. If you were me, which name would you go with? Why?
I would go for Globalwebbrands.com. A .com extension carries more prestige and is more proffessional. If you want people to take you seriously. I would never have a .ws extension. Its entirely up to you but I would go for the latter.
Wow, that's funny! But no, it wasn't. I've used this name on all forums I visit for quite awhile now! I guess great minds think alike! And thanks for all the advice----I am switching things back to the GlobalWebBrands name now.
I would always use a .com or a .net domain for web hosting, in that order. I would not use the other tld's because the general public is not accustomed to seeing nor using them. As always, just my humble opinion, nothing to back it up. gene
If I were a customer and had to pick either globalwebbrands.com or topwebhost.ws, I would definitely go with the first one.
