Depends on the site/demographics and age group of your audience, so for me it varies between my sites.
If you have seen, I right after posting (before your post), I updated my first post with this what you said. Yes, but is this right after new year, when companies have new budget for advertising, is this last months of year, etc.? Are any months for all the best? That is about your opinion and experience.
It varies greatly between sectors, so there is no right answer. The summer is generally slower, but travel sites are busy during this time. Etailing sector is very busy during Q4. Large companies have monthly budgets - they don't spend it all in Q1. The end of the month can affect PPC because some advertisers have used up their monthly budget.
The best month depends on your target audience. For me, I have golf related sites. Those peak about right now through September. Dec/Jan, very little traffic. Other sites, like my DUI/DWI site peaks on Saturday/Sunday/Monday when people get out of jail.
