Thanks everyone. I went with the blue, but a slightly darker shade to get rid of the "cutsie" feel, and make it slightly more professional looking (hopefully). I moved all of the subdomains over (although I still need to fix a few inner pages), but you can see how the blue looks on those pages like the red was posted before: http://freelancejobs.bizammo.com I also went ahead and increased the menu text size like someone suggested. Thanks again. Jenn
Just a hint, you should remove the adsense block at the right side of the site, they have to be low paying ads.. the more ads you have the less CPC u get.. I just tried this a month ago..with one of my sites full with ads has only .04-.10cpc and the other one with only one adsense block has .30-1.50$ cpc (while the last one with full ads is about .10-.20 so its definetely sux if u have ur page full with ads)
Actually, they're not. And because they're blended well below the featured articles at the top of that, I tend to get more clicks there than anywhere. The site averages $.30-.50 per click across all ads I have up, so they're not low enough that I'd consider removing them. My ads w/in articles often get over $1, so it's a nice balance between them all right now.
I just wanted to thank everyone again. I think I finished finding all the stray red links last night, and it should be a-ok now. Also, since changing to the blue, the average pay per click on my adsense ads is way up (a little less than $1 average per click now). I made just under $7 yesterday off of a measley 7 clicks... not too bad. I'm not sure how, if at all, the color change influenced that, but I'm happy about it. So thanks for the tips!
