- Either way I always build a BIG social following for my site/s.
- Each social networking account I will follow others, Like other peoples stuff, share other peoples stuff and add killer content and images.
- I create web 2.0 properties - again killer content that people want to share!
- I build backlinks to those web 2.0 pages.
- Participate in related forums as well. I'll also do some blog commenting.
- Press releases on news worthy pages.

I always check out what the competition is doing as well. If I can get a backlink where my comp has one I will get it!

I'm loving social networking sites at the moment. If you can get a huge following on all the sites like Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest ect..and if you share really good sh#t then you'll get backlinks naturally from people sharing your stuff. One of my sites got a bunch of backlinks without me doing any real backlinking because I was sharing awesome stuff. That site still ranks really well for some awesome keywords

 

The technique that works for you might be different than the technique that has worked for others. Try the link building techniques you know and understand what is working for you.

Many link building activities are there not only forum and blog commenting. Yes you've to follow only niche related sites, High PR & DA sites. But better link building I believe "Guest blogging" at present situation.

 

Set up facebook page for your site. You can put links to content on your site. Some folks post on their wall everytime they publish a new post. This also drive traffic to your site, depending on how many friends or likes you have.You can even go for paid links. There are many sites like SEOclerks, from where you can get links at cheap rates.

 

NOT building links at all is best. Having content worth linking too is even better.

I think that back link techniques most important for ranking point of view than we will have to do Forum posting and Blog commenting..and other technique etc. but back link is mandatory for ranking,,,,

 

Relevant, related and quality forum posting, blog comment and guest blogging are the best options.

 

Different people will give different opinion. You can ask to your-self what is wrong or what is right?
Just think about link building, article submission, directory submission, Reciprocal submission, Paid link etc; all these are good way to get links?

My suggestion to you just focus on natural way not unnatural. Like focus on Brand Building, Content sharing communities, social media, Some quality PR, Infographics, Participate on Q&A Sites, Start contribution on Good quality websites(MOZ, SEW, SEL Etc).

Just think before what are doing and is this logically correct? Hope So my answers will help you

 

All types of back links if they are coming from strong and relevant websites.

 

I think do follow links coming from relative high pr websites is good for link building.
it will helps to increase your Google PR as will as Alexa Rankings both.

I agree with this 100%. There's no quick and easy way to play the google rankings. If you spend you're time building backlinks with the purpose of only trying to improve your ranking, you will get tired, frustrated and give up.

Focus on giving value. An article, comment, or forum post that provides valuable advice, interesting insights or actionable how-to's will not only increase your rankings (eventually) but will also drive traffic and social media sharing.

Always remember, google spends millions (probably billions) on trying to filter out crap and provide it's users with appropriate search results based on the value they see within each and every backlink. There's no easy way to get around it, but by offering value people will remember your site and appreciate your input. It's a win-win scenario
