Which layout is the most attractive to you?

I'm working on a site and need some input.

Rate the below sites in order of the best (1) to worst (5).

i like (1) it's the cleanest and to the point

 

I'd go with the first one as well, although the last one is not far behind.

 

#5 for me.

They are all nice but I like #2

 

I like the second....

 

I dont like the colours in #3 very much but I like the layout best. I always like to have a short blurb that is quite prominent that tells visitors what the site is about.

#2 is second for me

then #1, then #5 then #4

 

#3 is the best, #2 is second, #5, #1, #4

you're asking the wrong people. Don't ask us, ask your market Only they hold the answers on which is going to work best for you. Split test them all. See which converts best, and go with that one!

I can tell you though that in the internet world.. SIMPLE is KING.
The one that is simple, clear, direct, focused on 1 single MWR (most wanted response.. Ie getting them to opt in)
is going to most likely pull the best.

The more buttons, links, whatever.. the more likely you are going to lose people.. because then you aren't as focused on what you are trying to get them to do. Also, FYI through massive amount of testing.. I can also tell you that you do NOT want the opt in/sign in/register box on the left side. Put it to the right. That's where people's eyes end up naturally.. it works, will give you better returns, and is also why sites like www.myspace.com have it on the right =)

 

well, I like all designs, but most #5
