I'm gonna to buy a laptop, I like Acer, as it is cheaper than other brands, but I don't know if it works well. So which brand of laptop has the highest price-performance ratio? Acer, Lenovo, HP or Dell?

Buy a Dell Studio and live your life happily there after.
You will love everything in it.

Thanks for all the replies! It seems that Dell is popular on DP. I still have question - is Dell a good choice for playing computer games, such as star craft, world of war craft, need for speed 14? because I play computer games a lot.

Dell have some good deals going on at the moment since everyone is going back to school. Check them out here. You'll have to be quick though, they won't be around for long.

dell is good performance wise, but be aware of the facts

inspiron: bad bad bad, too basic and many problems
studio: this is the mid-segment range, good but backlight problem on keyboards, slot drive is tricky and causes dvd/cd eject issues, some other problems are there
XPS: very good built but gets really hot, all models
i have worked with dell for 3 years, bought 1 laptop when i joined new, but none after that, i am currently typing on a sony viao ( all of them are made in china :( )

i would say HP has better quality, sony is good too, acer is really nice

Dell are decent but their performance is so-so . HP are cool but they tend to have reliability issues . Alienware is the best as far as I know but I think you can get better then that .

Every computer has their issues. So the best thing is to do your research before you buy. There is plenty of information on anything on the internet.
