Which Laptop configuration supports sound engineering software tools?

    Hello mates,

    I'm going to buy a new laptop for my music profession, I just want the best configuration laptop with high end audio/sound engineering support.
    My budget is around $800- $1000 .
    please give me the nice Ideas...

    Hi There

    Check the system requirements of your sound software and the OS you want to run it on and select a laptop around BOTH these specs.

    Don't expect much from the laptops on board sound chip though. Maybe some external add on device can help with this.

    Yep. You'll want a good USB or Firewire audio interface.
    Here's some very basic info. You should sign up to the Home Recording BBS, and post over there. They'll jump all over a thread like this :D
