    1 GB , but i moved to a laptop and i think i will need much more.


    On my desktop computer 1 GB was enough , i never exceed 700-800MBof RAM with photoshop , php editor, and a lot of websites opened.

    But laptops have slow hard disk , slow video cards, and i don't know why laptops seems to eat RAM really fast, maybe because of the reading/writing delay?!
