Which is you favourite domain exension ?
Well, my favourite extension is: .net, but also, I will choose .com for some commercial sites, .org for communities and .biz for little business
Currently I have domains with .com, .net and .biz extensions.

 

I like .com extension very much since it stands for commercial and .com is king of all extensions and mostly used by everybody.

 

.com is my favorite one because it is access universily not a specific country. more useful.

 

.com is the one that seems to fare best for SEO at present, but who's to say this won't change in the future, and we all know domain age is a great help when SEO'ing a site.

.COM as nothing to do with SEO, the reason why people prefer .COM is because of it's age, popularity and some times type in traffic.

Type in traffic is nearly obsolete now a days.

 

If you believe Google ranks .co.uk or other obscure suffixes equally to .com you obviously haven't tried a comparison test!

I only buy .com domain names now. I have had .info and .org domains that place on the first page of google....

 

.com and .vn (my coutry code)

 

.co.uk is a subdomain for the United-Kingdom, no wonder why it's not ranked high on google... it's just a subdomain of http://co.uk/

.co/.tv/.me/ are ccTLDs that works like gTLDs

If you want to make your self global using other ccTLDs, you can create domain hacks such as e.gg / ma.tt / fr.ee and google will see as egg / matt / free

 

.com because it's the most recognised, and ranks best in google.

 

I'm another one in favor of .com whenever possible.

 

I like .tv because everyone thinks it stands for television

 

.com is the most popular, by I tell that Guru Bob (IM guru) suggest us to try to use .co

 

imho the significance of .com extension for seo is being overrated. There is no difference between .com .org .net etc.
Only regional domain extensions like .fr .de .ca give you some advantages in that exact region.

definitely *.com - it is well recognized & indicates that it is a business site. But I agree with ArtOne - sometimes a local extension can give much more traffic than *.com domain name. And if a website is aimed to offer services in a particular area it's even better.

 

i choose .com as my domain. It have an effect to SEO.

 

I'm a .com fan, too. I only buy .org or .net if the desired .com is already taken. Not much into .info.

 

I never use anything else but .com, .org, .net in that order. I have plenty of .org when .com wasn;t available and plenty of them sit on first page Goog some at #1 ,2 and 3
