This was a poll question on the Wii the other day and I was a bit disappointed to see that I missed out on it. Anyway, they majority of the people who answered said that ignorance is worse and in my opinion I think indifference is worse... I mean that is someone who has the knowledge and just doesn't care... that's the thing that bothers me. Ignorant people just don't know and can be taught... How can people be indifferent to particular issues?
i vote for indifference, we have the same reason to choose that one. However i really don't care both term and will never make it as a big issues in my life
Why isn't there an option for neither? I don't know how to make a nuclear bomb, i'm totally ignorant on the matter. Does that really mean that I am "bad" or "worse" than a rocket scientist? I'm just different, its what makes the world go around.
I think it depends on what their indifferent or ignorant about. Say for example their indifferent about the war in Iraq, that much worse then being indifferent to where you go out to ear tonight.
ignorance and indifference are both evils that abound in our society today. and in my opinion both are bad. on another thread i just had people brought up in a wealthy well educated country denying modern science on the grounds that it is not compatible with their religion, and even going so far as to say that children should not be taught such science in school. this is a very dangerous kind of ignorance. as for indifference i often meet people who say about politics 'i'm not voting because there is not point', which is just self-defeatist, for there will certainly be no point if nobody votes! neither are easy to rectify or change, but am ever the optimist and hope that one day people will listen to reason.
