I have purchased esydicat (eSyndiCat Pro Unlimited Domains license) and phpzen. Some said PhpLD 3.0 was good. but I can not purchase the script successfully for it only accept paypal. How about the PhpLD script?
daboss, I checked your script. Seems to be pretty good! (*) Can I manually add links which are not either paid or reciprocal. (*) For optional reciprocal option, does it regularly check weather partner links back? webgaya.
I am ready to build a serires of sites using directory scirpt. So I am ready to have a try with PhpLD 3.0. But I can not get it for my paypal account is not verified. Anybody help me?( we can exchange scripts,my eSyndiCat Pro is unlimited Domains license)
yes - no problem. nope, it does not validate that the reciprocal links are actually implemented by the other party
Who told you that they only accept paypal I think they accept Money Bookers, Ikobo, Western Union ,Cash or Money Order through the mail, Wire Transfer to their bank, Paypal as payment option. So check it properly please.
Id go with phpLD - their support forum is excellent and there are a load more free template avaliable for both the free and paid versions.
phpld is the most popular, and tends to be considered the best. that said, it fails were the our good scripts fail. A submitter cannot submit a site adn make a new category suggestion at the same time. Whoever of the bigger scripts does this will become top dog.
They only accept payment via paypal on thier site Just pm david (PHPLINKDIRECTORY Owner) and he will arrange other payment method for you I think he can accept moneybookers not sure try sending him pm as i said earlier Thanks, Saad
Focal Media was my choice of script for List My Niche, and it does what you mentioned and a whole lot more. I love it! Although it is not popular, I would and do recommend it.
In terms of your popularity question, phpLD is hands down the most popular directory script. From the directory list point of view, phpld accounts for about 1/3 of all the directories on the list - that's a lot. Popularity is important because it also dictates how much support a particular script has. phpLD has a very active forum with savvy directory users. The owner, and his team, are also exceptional at evolving the script to suit the current directory landscape and the direction that the industry is moving.
That is the ABSOLUTE WORST prediction I have ever come across on any message board, ever! Listen up... stop your whining because something is not currently available. You're basing your judgement on a single factor? Dear god man.. get a grip!
I also have to say that this is a very minor complaint you have, and one that can be easily corrected in future releases all the major directory scripts out there. By the way, if you have the need to also suggest a category as well as your site to a directory, the problem is more the direcotry owner and not the directory script.
I found indexscript and site-sift to be a neat looking directory. But I think they have to improve some of their features. phpld is not good looking though but you if you can customized the directory you will enjoy owning a phpld directory.
Not wishing to start a fight but .... I have thought it through again and would like to say that in my opinion (for what thats worth) for directory owners the feature that allows a submitter to submit a site to a category that does not exist and is recommended at the same time is the most powerful feature a professional directory could have that is not currently available in the market (opps sorry actually only one script can do this). Why is this such a powerful idea? Well in my blog about directories I wrote a post called Most directories are crap because they do not follow 5 simple rules. This would go a great way to resolving rule number 3. The idea of EMPOWERING the submitter is in fact not new and the feature most regularly asked for in the modification threads at the various directory script forums. At the same time the directory owner gets a hand in evolving his category structure into something unique.
