Hello guys i am really not happy with my current host, all my sites are down since so many days now. I am starting this thread just to know about which other host i should go for. I have not slept for so many nights since last week.

Which is the best webhost that i should buy? hostupon? hostmonster? lunarpages? or any other?
What do you think of hostupon? Let me know your experience and also enter which websites you have working on that server.

as much as i know... Hostgator must suit you if you are into Shared hosting or VPS. For dedicated hosting I would recommend iweb.com.

I am looking for shared hosting first. Because i had this hosting for 1.5 years not and i am so unhappy. The server never works good, there are always problems with server or database connectivity, It is affecting my online work. I never thought that would happen. Shared hosting is highly marketed by any web server saying unlimited this and that and that but still it doesnt work. How can i trust their VPS and Dedicated service?

Its just i had bad experience for so long. Is it that when you get shared you are not given good server/service ?

So shared with all these common features, unlimited domains addon, etc and enough space and bandwidth.

You have to understand that unlimited is just a marketing gimmick. Because of huge competition even reputed companies like hostgator have to do it. If you are running Database and if it's busy you are sure likely to go out of RAM and then CPU first. When on shared hosting, you are pretty likelyto be cut out. My suggestion - if you never had resource problems, go for Shared Hostgator account. If later you do get high traffic you may shift to Hostgator VPS. I am not an affiliate or reseller of Hostgator. I justthink they are good in industry.

Yes i understand that unlimited is just for marketing, we wont be eligible for file or video hosting websites.

But yes i am expecting a lot of traffic and email communication for my business. God i need professionals, need some really good hosting company to work with. Current host is not like that.

Web host should be good for small to medium scale business. Thats what i am looking for.

I'm fine with Bluehost, but of course the "unlimited" things are not true - used just for marketing...

Work out approximately what you really need in the way of disk space, bandwidth and anything else, then choose a host that gives you hard limits rather than marketing hype of unlimited, there's a reason for specifying limits. You can use the logs and information from the current host to get an idea of what you are using.

I've been very happy with HostGator for a year and half now with zero problems. I also have a lunarpages account but have had a few problems here and there over the years.

HG or Bluehost. I have used Bluehost in the past and worked pretty good all in all.

I am thinking to go for hostmonster for my client cause it is cheaper for the same features which HG and Bluehost are offering. Please suggest me whether to go for HM.

HostMonster is a reliable web host and is actually owned by the same folks at BlueHost.

If you are looking forward to a shared hosting plan, you'll find many hosting providers offering shared hosting plans but you should look for one which offers great support. However, if you would like to choose a VPS or a Dedicated server, I think you should go through BODhost which offers managed hosting services with good quality support at reasonable cost.

There is no best host. As best is a subjective term.

The only thing I would suggest is go for a VPS or dedi.

Even if you choose a VPS or a dedicated server with a hosting provider but the hosting provider is not reliable enough and does not offer good quality assistance, a VPS or a dedicated server won't give you any kind of benefit.
