Do page titles in a directory offer an SEO benefits, eg:

    or

-Or should I simply opt for a different page title entirely for each page?

Each page should have a different title with the highest value (ie most searched for) keywords first in the title.

Match this with the meta description and h1 tag as well for maximum effect.

Trying to get KW heavy or spammy with a directory submission is likely to get is deleted.

I will sometimes take the time to edit a submission, but not when it's blatant attempt at KW spam.

Personally, I would just simply state

    SpiceGirls London Escort Directory

and then use your description to go into greater specificity, but again, don't simply KW stuff it.

    wrmineo,

The directory is mine. My question is how best to name each individual page to be search-engine friendly.

Apologies if my post wasn't clear.

Sorry JackR - I didn't honestly understand your post fully.

Still, I would not KW stuff the title.

    <title>London Escort Girls Directory</title>
<META name="description" content="Asian and Oriental escort services for London by SpiceGirls Escorty Agency.">
    <META name="keywords" content="London escorts, asian escorts, oriental escorts">

As Mad4 points out, you should try to individualize these attributes for each page.

Again, I'd be careful not to KW stuff the titles, KWs, description, etc.

    For example:

    http://www.spicegirlslondonescorts.com/london_escorts/COURTNEY.1.45.htm

    Chelsea SW10 London Escort Courtney

I think you're trying too hard for "London Escort" and placing it 3 times could backfire IMO.

Each and every search engine is consider the meta title and meta description and meta keywords. Mainly google highly impact on meta title so when we use the meta title for each page, always use first main keyword which is high density and second it's relevance use in title.
