which is the best way to generate Site map

"xml-sitemaps.com" its great...thats why mostly webmasters band upon it...

 

i prefer manually, create your site map and submit into Google Webmasters tools

 

I've heard that xml-sitemaps.com is slow for big sites....

 

you can write your own following the google standard. However, if you have a large forum with 1000s of pages then this could obviously become a bit tidious. I like to use diadematus for google, you can search for it on downloads.com.

I agree with everyone else here. I think the best way to generate a sitemap is doing it with a script on your own site. I used online sitemap generators back when I had my site custom hosted, but now that I've switched to Wordpress and phpBB I have plugins for both which generate and refresh my sitemaps for me.

Im not clear with 2 points: Why not to depend on automatic sitemap generator? Because i used sitemapxml.net to generate sitemap for my site. And why still manual creation of sitemap is preferred over automated ?
