Yeah, offering free eBooks still works, i recommend www.aweber.com & http://www.getresponse.com/ They have great reviews and both quite popular and good services. (no affiliate link) I'm nice like that.....
Hello, if you click my signature link you can see how I do it. I give away a 77 page ebook on blogging. We started giving it away in Feb and my e-mail lists is now at 415 (432) 17 opted out. However, the ebook has to be good/great. If people give you their email and read your crappy book, what do you think happens to the chance of them buying from you? this form works well (towards bottom of [COLOR="Red"]www.new-net-mail.ws[/COLOR])- they are subscribing to my emails to learn more about private internet mail. I use getresponse, also - it works really well.
Don't just give them something good once, keep giving them something good every so often. And don't give them anything bad, or they'll drop off the list!
Try doing a little variation like give them good software for free or a free trial to some really great software.
Well what I have been doing to build my list for the past few months, is drive traffic to my website and once people hit my website they are given some free information to help them come successful in my area. Then I have an opt-in box where they can opt-in to receive a 5 day video autoresponder series. It works, maybe you should try it. As well as giving away some free eBooks and other products. -- Hamish
