    For learning what exactly?

    If you want to learn how to be a bricklayer you are not going to learn much from online study groups or virtual learning environments.

    Hands on (experience) applies for such things as it does for many things online to.

    As this is in the ssearch engine optimization forum I would say learning SEO is done best hands on and just by studying done by ones self.
