Hello DP. I have been using Seriff Page Plus for my works as of now. Could you guys suggest me any better software for creating logos and DTP? Thanks, Kuldeep
Adobe Illustrator is the 'industry standard' for creating logos. I find it a total pain to use though. For DTP (print, brochures etc) I use and LOVE InDesign. It's a joy to use.
As interesting аs Inkscape iÑ• I would alÑ•o suggest Adobe Illustrator which Ñ–Ñ• the industry standard. From whаt I knоw of Inkscape it has a limited amount of fonts thаt it Ñаn use, but I hear that they аrе working on that. Also reported that Ñ–t Ñ–s reаllу buggy. Also Ñ–f yоu plan оn working Ñ–n аn office setting illustrator mоѕt lÑ–kеly wÑ–ll be thе program of choice.
Illustrator is a tad difficult to use but it's definitely the industry standard. Among many other benefits, Illustrator provides the logos in vector format which can be easily enlarged without loss of quality (thus, you can use your logo for any purpose and in multiple sizes, ranging from posters and banners to brochures). I suggest you take the time to learn Illustrator - it really is a gem.
Illustrator is the best way to go, its hard to get used to. But once you do, you'll never go back. I like to use it in a cross platform between indesign/Photoshop, if you settle for indesign, you wont get the freedoms that you need if you're not working in just text.
