Which is the best tool to estimate traffic on website from Google

    HI
    I just want to know which is the best reliable tool to estimate traffic on a website from Google.

    There are number of websites giving that information but all have different stats.
    1) Google Keyword
    2) myDNS Stats
    3) Traffic Estimate
    4) Compete
    5) Quantcast

    etc etc

    Please tell me the best and the reliable tool.

    Personally I use Statcounter on all my websites, have done for years. Never really felt comfortable letting google have access to "behind the scenes" of my websites. Maybe I'm a bit paranoid though. It's a bit like inviting a vampire into your house! :)

    I also use Google Analytics and I know that almost all webmasters are using this tool. Google analytics shows quite a lot parameters and stats.

    I had dabbled with both google analytics and stat counter but preferred to stay with analytics. There is no problem at all with that...

    For a trafic estimation i would opt out for the google keyword tool, be sure to check exact match on that keyword and that's it you will have the exact numbers for that niche.

    why to estimate when we can get a live traffic reports? I do use GA (i.e. Google analytics) for analyzing the traffic data of my website. Even, we can estimate the traffic based on the present traffic. what do you say?

    I believe he was requesting a tool that could estimate organic traffic for websites that he does not control. We recently paid for a subscription to compete.com and found the stats to be pretty inaccurate as compared to our own Google Analytics (we run two sites that both have OVER 1.8 million visitors/day so the sample size should have been sufficiently big to be accurate).
