Try South Dakota, no traffic, low cost of living, no state income tax, Mount Rushmore, the Badlands, great hunting and fishing, just make sure you have a winter home somewhere else....
*why do you think I moved at least there is a change of seasons though. In TX we have four seasons too: not quite summer, summer, still summer, and 3 weeks of winter HOWever, it is gorgeous (VT). I love to visit every year.
