lol, AMEN!! I think CA might be one of the best to visit but not live IMO. Cost of living alone would be enough of a deterrent for me! it's shrouded in mystery...she could tell you but she'd have to kill you, oh S, too late for you!!
gotta go with NC...where else can you have mountains, rolling plains, and the beach? Not to mention snow in the winter, and 100 degree temps in the summer and everything between...plus it has some great bbq
Kicking myself for not saying "State of Brain" as my response. Even though it's referring to a "state of mind" rather than an actual state. Oh, the humanity!
DING! we are know free to move about the country :-p I figured you put SD just to throw us off your trail or am I the only one who has a 'hottest' thread stalker
I've been to the desert on a horse with no name. CA is so huge, has such a variety of things to do and see, I'd like to go back at least 2 more times hopefully.
I'm quite attached to NYS Got some beautiful scenery, and NYC is pretty damn awesome for a night out It's a bit cold though
You just described California...LOL I have lived in 12 states and I love California. I love the beaches, the ocean, the surfing, the culture. And then theres the skiing, mountains, shopping, food, people...I also hate it - the commute, the taxes, the cost of living, the smog. You could also be asking is what is the best city?
Slow down on the cost of living thing in California. Housing has for a number of decades appreciated at 7%. So you could have bought a house 30 years ago for $40,000 and 15 years later it was worth $200,000. Another 15 years later it's worth $600,000. At 7% (conservative estimate for almost built out Orange County) I am looking at houses around here being worth $4,000,000 in 20 years and I can buy them now for $600,000!! Smog isn't everywhere. You don't have to take a job far away but people do just to make a few percent more. But then again we have enough people, move to Raleigh or Ithica.
problem with DC, is that you are not allowed to vote! Well, you can vote but who you elect can't vote in the house (or something like that).
