    The answer to your question depends on where you reside.

    # Like in USA and Europe, Australia : FB is most popular and then there is a tough competetiion twitter and Myspace

    # In Big developing countries like Brazil,India : Orkut,FB are more popular
    than Twitter

    Definitely twitter is very helpful social networking site to increase the traffic. i'm regularly update in twitter.. I am getting 100 unique visitors daily from my twitter accounts.
