Facebook & twitter are good "business to consumer" based social networks but if you are looking for "business to business" based social networking site then I believe Plaudunt is 1 of the best option to promote your business for free.
it's surprising, but LinkedIn really began bringing traffic in recent years, although it demands really high-quality content
It depends on which niche you are working in. For instance, traiborg, apsense and ibotoolbox are good for the IM niche and MLM but would be bad for anything else (like clothing for Pinterest etc...) Waneloo is awesome for clothing, accessories and things like that
I see that this thread was started several years ago, but the same question still comes up daily for those trying to use social media for traffic generation. For me, Facebook hands down is the winner. However, it really depends on what you need or want to drive traffic to or for. I personally use coupons and contests on facebook with facebook ads. The ability to hyper target for inexpensive rates makes this a great method for getting traffic to your post where you can then have your offer or a link to your offer off of facebook. Facebook does not like taking traffic off their site, so if you run an ad to a post in your newsfeed and within that post send them to your website or do a dark post on your newsfeed where your current fans cannot see it and then give them an offer and get them to like, opt in or buy. No other social media has all the apps and bells and whistles to target and land new business that facebook does.... IMHO
There is several threads about this, but I say Facebook would be the best social network but I almost say Twitter.
Reddit has given me the biggest traffic bang, but Twitter definitely delivers the most traffic day in and day out
It depends on where your customers/ fans hang out. There are lot of social networks beyond the biggest ones such as Twitter, Facebook, Reddit. I created a list, which contains more than 20 niche social network. In this list there are sites for dog owners, anime fans, music and movie fans and even for people who like knitting. If you are looking for an audience with a very special interest, a niche social network could be a great place to engage with them.
I would say Twitter is the best option. Everyone from individuals to the largest multinational companies use twitter.
It is obvious that Facebook and Twitter set the tone in social media. However, it's worth giving a try with other networks that have a big number of loyal users: Pinterest, Tubmlr, Instagram, etc. The more you experiment with social networks the better. And make use of social media tools not to get lost in multiple accounts: Repucaution, Buffer, Hootsuite, etc.
Facebook and twitter. Cant say who's the best between them both have great traffic. Facebook is popular you know the reason, Twitter in the other hand is frequently used because of the tweets where people share almost every time about there thoughts.
My Opinion "More personal - Facebook More specific - Twitter Have to Show more to World - Pinterest, Instagram "
The most popular social networking sites sure have changed over the years, and you can expect them to continue to change as times goes on. Old social media trends will die, and new ones will appear. Before Facebook and Twitter dominated the web, we were a lot more familiar with sites like MySpace and LiveJournal. Most of us already know that Facebook is the top social network on the web. Like Facebook, Twitter has also changed dramatically over the years, becoming a top source for real-time news sharing. Google+ became the fastest growing social network the web has ever seen. After Google, YouTube is the second largest search engine. Instagram has grown to be one of the most popular social networks for photo sharing that the mobile web has ever seen
According to me Linkedin is a good networking site where a lot of professional users are active at real time and there you can get any type of solution for your issues and you also do group discussion according your theme.
