I think you should go for some smaller social bookmarking sites instead of digg and propeller.
These 'small' websites can give you high pr backlinks too (often easier), but for a longer time.

 

I would have to put in order:

1)Stumbleupon
2)del.icio.us
3)Reddit
4)Digg

I list this way because of the amount of traffic after the initial popularity

 

This is prob a big push in generating site traffic.
