Few years ago I would say SEO for sure! But now, you know, search engines are so really smart, and, secondly, it depends on type of services/products you sell on your website. So my answer is CEO.
i never heard of CEO up until this post... and I'm going to have to agree and disagree with ATBdesign Yea having great products will get you a better return on your time invested in internet marketing... ...but if you study and do SEO right, then you'll get thousands of views, leads, sales to your site... yea it's harder but very much worth learning curve
I have also never heard about CEO but I know SEO which is very effective for any business online ....
I too had never heard of the term CEO until I seen this thread but I would have to say the better approach to IM would be CEO from a quality perspective anyway. I'm new to DP but by no means knew to IM so please dont disregard my views going by post count. SEO is certainly important of helping you get traffic in the first place but in terms of what is more important in terms of conversion, CEO is just as important in terms of your overall business model.
I would go with CEO, today everything is about social engineering and if your customers spread good words, SEO is shit.
I could say that in that vote it seems that SEO still lives and not dying... This is good to result meaning some people(webmasters) are not yet aware at CEO at this point.
I believe seo is best. Actually SEO is the best way to get traffic. Basically SEO is important for all types of site.
CEO? it's something new but user exprience is important when you want to get loyal customers. In my opinion you can't compare SEO and "CEO".
Well SEO can bring customers in, but CEO keeps your customers. So I would say SEO. This is the first time for me seeing someone use CEO in that way.
To me CEO sounds like something incorporated in classy SEO and if you are striving for long-term results, then you have to do both. If you want visitors to come to your site, it's about doing SEO and getting more traffic from search engines. But if your site is not user-friendly (as far as I understand this is what CEO stands for) you get just high bounce rate and that's it. So CEO should be an essential part of SEO in case you aim at maximum conversions and not simply good traffic.
