you should give new musicians a chance too in these days it is very difficult to become known artist, please support your local bands too
Led Zeppelin I think after going through quite a few lists that unfortunately the very young generally have more to say than the older group who might not necessarily even ventured onto a computer. There is a top 5 without a doubt, not in any particular order and they are Led Zeppelin, Beatles, Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd ( I never understood there popularity but it is there just the same ) and the newest member to the to group AC/DC Groups should not even be considered unless they are loved worldwide and have been together for many many years with little change and still be able to command high venue sellouts and also in most cases if not huge radio play than at least high radio request. Many great great bands are biting at the doorstep of the big 5. Rush, Queen, U2 and Metallica, Black Sabbath to name a few. I love these lists and they hold huge interest and although you will never get it just right for everyone they do make for great talk.thumbs upthumbs down
I would say Pearl Jam and Nirvana, but that's just my opinion. We also have Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Black Sabbath, Queen, The Beatles, Deep Purple, Guns N' Roses, Kiss, Aerosmith and a bunch of other great bands.
My fav rock band is Lynyrd Skynyrd they're worthy of being high on any list of great rock bands. Best songs: Free Bird; Simple Man; Sweet Home Alabama
Cool bands you have there but here are my top 5 (1.Greenday 2.Muse 3.Vampire weekend 4.Blue october 5.Coldplay)
I'm with you on this one, sounds like you have great taste in music! I would definitely have to add Metallica and 90s/20s bands like Paramore, Blink-182 and The offspring to the list too. I also really like The Stone Roses! There's simply way too many to narrow down to a single 'best' band...plus different bands for different moods.
Pink Floyd. Everyone (especially if you're an aspiring musician) needs to listen to their Pulse live concert: You'll be totally blown away.
My Favorites from the 70's and 80's: Metallica - Only from 1983 to 1993....the rest of their stuff, *shudders* AC/DC Van Halen Slayer I'm surprised no one has mentioned Dream Theater. Petrucci and Mangini/Portnoy are freaking awesome on their instruments.
