basically every language based stick to C and C++ so my first preference is learn these two programming language because it's funda run in every lang... like JAVA, PHP, .NET, And others all just something chages are there. So go for that first.

    Hey,
I need some thoughts on Python?
I have some experience with programming languages from my high school, I was good at it, but I went to another college, civil engineering

So, I first wanted to learn Python because Maya use it, so does blender, but with it I could also program software, web, mobile applications.
But for some reason it's not very popular, so my question is why is so, and si Python good programming language to learn?

    Thank You

Desktop I would say Java or vb.net or c#.net. The .net languages are the easiest. If you want to do web you can still do .net but php is probably the easiest.
