Until you run into Ram issues which then means that you've got a good site. imagine how much Digital Point needs to run? I know one of my forums: www.coloholics.net takes over 500 MB's. Your hostgator gives you 64 MB's. Good luck. Welcome to Shared hosting. The companies that oversell. You cant have unlimited stats for under 10 Dollars. Thats just silly. But hey, if you need hosting for 1 HTML page, Hostgator isn't bad, but once you get a normal popular website, it starts to catch up with ya.
if you are starting off then go for hostgator, but their dedicated servers are bit expensive than others still good tho
Hostgator is a good host for small domains. They have a good plan but limited control over php execution Webhost4life is just okay. They promise 99.9% uptime, but i guess i see one downtime in 10 days or so
I've been using bluehost for a while. Nothing is perfect when it comes to shared hosting, but I have no complaints so far. Also, cpanel is a must for me. It's just a personal preference, but I wouldn't buy a shared hosting package unless it had cPanel.
I'd use hostican. It's what I use. They're located in North VA, they all speak English as the first language, and their support team actually knows what its doing. Which is more than I can say for other hosts I've used. Speeds good, never had any problems with them, and I've been a customer for 1 1/2 years now. They also offer VPS, and Dedi servers in case your site does get big
I think No.1 hosting server is hostnine then hostgator, hostmonster, justhost, hostkeeper are better. best cheap web hosting is webhostingpad but i recommand only hostnine & hostgator
I'd also recommend HostNexus (http://www.hostnexus.com) - I've been using them for 8-years and have had good results. Their service has been excellent and I've got both a shared account and dedicated server with them, the latter of which has a forum with 10,000 registered users that because of our growth has had to be upgraded several times, and they did it all the data migration for me and have just been unbelievablely terrific to deal with. I'd at least compare them against the others and see how they are cost-wise for what you're looking for. That's my 2-cents.
