    Old thread, but will contribute:

    With recent changes to Google - niche sites and MFA is risky. Google is smart, they know junk, and don't care if your site is not junk and gets categorised as junk.

    A better option is larger niche sites with social media, whilst also driving traffic with ppc and paid ads. Set up funnels and offers on the page, not just adsense. Look for higher payouts.

    Another option is product creation or create and sell model.

    All genuine business online are the best. The only difference is are you caved out for that business? Mr A can be successful doing a particular business online while Mr B is a failure in that same business. All I really want to say is do the business you have passion for surely you make money out of it in due time.

    Go with both the one that makes the most money and you enjoy. The whole point of working online is to have the freedom of being able to choose and there are so many choices to be made. Affiliate marketing is good but tricky and good money to be made.
