The "best" method of marketing depends on your target audience, business goals, and the type of product or service you're offering.

If you need to choose one, Social Media Marketing is often the most versatile and effective for many businesses today. However, combining multiple methods usually yields the best results.

You can get tons of sales and free traffic with social media but ultimately you want that audience on a list as well (as long as you're in a niche with any commercial intent) so email marketing remains numero uno as you own the asset and can build a relationship with subscribers that a 3rd party platform can never take away from you. Ignore this at your own peril.

Not Everything That Glitters Is Gold, or How I Wasted My Marketing Budget

When it came to marketing, I—like many others—decided to go all in. I invested in everything: targeted ads, PPC, SEO, influencers, banners… It seemed like the reach would be massive, and the profits would start rolling in. And they did… except it wasn’t profit, it was my budget disappearing.

The result? A bunch of likes, clicks, and impressions… but barely any sales. I started digging into the data and realized that half of the channels weren’t even suitable for my niche. I was getting traffic, but not from people who were actually willing to pay.

In the end, I found a solid specialist who took the time to understand my business and focused on ONE channel that actually brought in the right customers. Turns out, it’s much better to invest in a targeted approach and get high-quality conversions than to spread yourself thin across multiple platforms and hope for the best.

Lesson learned: A good marketer isn’t just someone who knows how to run ads but someone who knows WHICH ads to run. So don’t try to do everything at once—find the right person who can do it the right way.

Honestly, the best method depends on your audience and goals. Social media and email marketing are great for engagement, but advertisement marketing can drive serious traffic if done right. For example, native advertising through platforms like MGID helps brands reach the right audience without feeling intrusive. Have you tried any paid ad strategies before?

I agree. What works great for one type of business might be useless for another.

Yes, all of this should be taken into account. But social media and native advertising are top-tier.

I would also add MGID to the list. It's a great alternative for native advertising that doesn't distract from the content and helps attract more people

Agree! Social media and native ads can really give great results if used correctly. But it's still important to consider your target audience

Each method works in different ways.

Email Marketing is good for sending updates and offers to people who already showed interest.

Social Media Marketing helps reach many people and interact with them.

SMS Marketing is fast and direct, but some people may ignore it.

Advertisement Marketing (like online ads or TV ads) can reach many people but costs money.

Face-to-Face Marketing builds trust but takes more time.

The best method depends on your business and customers. Many businesses use more than one method together for better results.
