I'm about to join the Digital Point keyword tracker, but it's asking for my Google API key, where can I find this? I've joined Google and I think they've stopped issuing new keys.

    Thanks for any help

DigitalPoint has the best keyword tracker out of any of them. Also dont forgot to checkout the suggestion tool, it is pretty awesome as well.

If you want a keyword tracker (not a keyword suggestion tool) check out www.ranktrend.com - this is a new tool that tracks your rank (well anybody's rank really including your competition) against specific keywords in the 3 major SEs.
You can trend this data on a chart and the best part is it gets this data automatically so you can focus on generating cash not checking your keyword rank daily. You can even have it email you your positions daily.

There are a ton more features including the ability to track multiple data sources (even AdSense revenue) on the same chart so you can pick up correlations.

It's in beta right now so use the code rtbeta1 to sign up. Just visit www.RankTrend.com

Another great keyword tracking (not suggestion) tool is Google Analytics, and it's free.

I prefer a variety of methods. I don't think any one is perfect.

Here's my page on keyword trends, etc.

Market Samurai is probably the easiest and most effective word tracker tool I have seen on the market. I don't know how I lived without it for such a long time.

MS is the best choice, but it costs too expensive for newbies..
