Which is the best hosting plan for me?

I need a general hosting plan. Here is the requirements:

    1. Good for numerous small sites. So should not have limits on number of database, domain, email etc. Once the site has grown I don't have problem moving it to a more scalable situation. So think about incubator.

    2. Should have no restriction on the language/CMS/database that the domain is run on. Each domain will be different. Linux based is OK.

    3. Different domain or group of domains could potentially have different type of ownership. There should be a way to segregate access.

I want to see if there is a cheaper alternative in terms of both time and money than dedicated server. Currently looking for reseller plans (which one?). But thought I ask people with more experience.

    Thanks.

    It's one approach.

Not one I like exclusively, myself, because I always seem to find that people with more experience have different judgment criteria from my own.

Another viable approach is to seek the opinions of absolutely huge numbers of people without being too concerned about their experience level. You can try this also by looking at all the survey results at independent sites like www.webhostingjury.com (but be a bit careful because just as with so many other things, some "independent" sites aren't quite as independent as they claim!). Hope it helps, anyway.

I recommend you go with lunarpages. I host 2 wordpress blogs, 2 joomla sites, 1 pligg site, 1 phplinkdirectory, 1 phpLinkBid directory, and 3 static sites on a shared plan with no problems.
