You should avoid unlimited anything, its impossible to provide, its overselling.

Do you expect your forum to be quiet at first or will it be a fast growing monster?

You can start off with shared hosting and possibly upgrade to VPS or dedicated if it becomes a success.

Do you want to appeal to a worldwide audience or country specific?

Oh boy... Okay, so hosting for a forum. For starters, if your forum grows big, you need a host that offers a bigger memory cap. All these shared hosters offer the same crap and your going to hit your Limit. Even with all those unlimited stats, its all bullshit when it comes down to Ram.

I host many forums on my dedicated Quad core server, if your interested and are looking for a good reliable host, PM me for details. Ill only help you out if you take the initiative to help yourself out plus my prices are quite low. :)
