    I want to start a forum. What is the best free software that provides both free domain and hosting. The only one I know is phpBB from www.phpbbnow.com
    Are there any similar things

    phpbb i think is the better one more support then mybb My favorite though is VB. I have 4.1.3 and love it and most popular with users.

    I tend to favor the ionisis UFBB ( ufbb.ionisis.com ), but then again, i'm a bit partial ;). It IS, however, very simple, and free.

    vBulletin is not free... I suggest SMF due to it's opensource and have a lot of plugins.
