Best free antivirus? Well, let's see, I've been using AVAST for 6 months now and it hasn't given me any problems so far. Furthermore, it doesn't use much processing power. I've heard AVG is good too. Hope this helps!
Microsoft security essential is best antivirus all the time. It is light weight and also its scanner is exact and best all the time. I also used Avaira and Kaspersky but found that Microsot security essentially is best and after that Kaspersky is best antivirus if you have internet access.
i never use anti virus, but when i used, from my tests i think Panda was the best im not using anti virus because im not downloading cracked software and all that things
Boy, that is a strange way to look at security. I would highly recommend NOT following that example. Other bad advice: "You don't have to lock your doors if you live in a safe neighbourhood" "You don't have to wear a seat-belt if you are a safe driver" "you don't have to wear protection if the person looks safe"
the main reason why im not using antivirus is because i read some articles about how this so called antivirus are tools for the secret services to spy the ppl so i personnaly dont want to show to the national security agency agents what im doing, im a legal guy, i have nothing to hide, but i want to keep my privacy for me and not for forgain inteligence spy services
@Zaishen you my friend are misguided and the writer of the article is not better. Why do you care if the NSA can spy on you - what will they do with your information that bothers you? Do you actually think the NSA cares about your individual information out of all the other potential information they collect? I would be more worried about the script kiddy that infects my computer with a virus and uses my computer as a zombie, or steals my passwords, private pictures, personal documents, or my identity. I would also be more worried about advertisers that make money off of knowing your personal information such as your browsing habits and things you buy.
Thats your point of view, mine is totally diferent. Im not saying that this antivirus are bad or they not do their job in protecting your system against attacks, etc, etc, im talking about the hinden fees of this programs, wich most of them are tools sening your data to "who knows.., what spy agency" Why you think that there are so many pirated windows 7 wich can be activated and get updates? You think that microsoft wants to give free windows for everyone just because they are so good Christians and they want to help the poors, or they do that to control all that ppl? Do you belive in chises stories? because i not.. so.. anyways, they can spy me anytime because i dont care, but im sure that im more safty without antivirus than with antivirus
I'm not saying that your point of view is wrong since everyone is entitled to an opinion, I'm just stating that your facts are off target to support your opinion. Study up more on the NSA and other "spy" agencies before you use them as an excuse for your actions. Help me understand what hidden fees you are talking about with legit A/V software. Also, help me understand what is sending your data and where it goes. FYI, netstat or similar tool can help you see what is connected to your computer so you will know where your data goes. Not sure what point you are making here. Microsoft has made a point to stop piracy, but it's hard to do. Think Genuine Advantage, DRM, forcing software makers to digitally sign all their drivers, and the recent changes to the technet subscription program. Bottom line is that Microsoft has made it clear that they don't want people using their software for free. Huh? If you are saying the stories of the Chinese attacking government networks, then I can't talk to you about that subject. Again, you have to proof to support that claim, and the reason I care is because I am a security professional and that is a ridiculous claim. I ask you to provide proof because I may learn something today that could change the way I think and that's why I'm here. FYI, you contradicted yourself: How do you feel that you are not safer if they add protection to your system?
my views about using or not antivirus are clear, im not going to enlarge this discussion because is not creative and goes nowere good luck
