Hostgator is excellent. I have about 20 domains through them. No problems so far. And I think they are cheap.

But then the word 'cheap' is subjective. It just depends on your budget.

I use godaddy. You can easily install it from the apps panel.

Almost any website is good for Wordpress, the sad news is that Wordpress is not good for any hosting, LOL

Jokes aside, as long as the hosting runs the latest PHP version you will be able to run Wordpress and if the host has Fantastico, Softaculous or Installatron it's more likely you can install it with just one-click. In fact one-click installation is also available in other control panels including both Windows and Linux server.

No doubt, with hundreds of other good scripts people keep replicating just the same formula across the web.

I think it also depends on who you are. If you are someone that is not an expert, customer service is probably also an important criterion. Appreciate what people tell you here, but also do a research yourself. Take a look at multiple web hosting review sites. If a provider is constantly in a top position, it's probably not a bad choice. I am with FatCow.

Honestly, I would not trust this list blindly (wordpress.org/hosting/), better search the internet...

Any trusted hosting company that offers Cpanel should provide wordpress. I would also ask the host your interested in to tell you what version of Wordpress they offer as I have found from experience that some hosts are slow to use the latest versions.

Wordpress is so popular you will find you can use it or install it at most hosts. Many even have auto-installers a few simple clicks and you are ready to go. I have heard a few hosts complain that a wordpress site is using a bit too much of the server resources. They are asked to optimize the site and database and/or upgrade to a more powerful server or account type that allows the use of more resources. You really need a lot of traffic and a big database for that to happen though. Most average wordpress sites will run good and smooth with most hosts.

If you can afford for $10 monthly - HostGator is your choice

If you can afford lower than $10 monthly - BlueHost / Hostmonster are another good choice for Wordpress hosting.

Any web host that has php and mysql will run WP. I'm most happy with HostGator. But as Sxperm said if they are too much for you there are lower cost web hosts out there that are very reliable like bluehost / hostmonster
