    Hey There,

If you want the absolute best platform you should use Magento. However it does use a lot of CPU performance to maintain.

Magento is the best by far and it was recently bought out by Ebay, so you know it is a great product. It is the most flexible platform and with a little knowledge can do almost anything you want it to.

    Check it out at http://www.magentocommerce.com.

    Hope this helps!

I really like Prestashop, but that's probably just because I've spent a lot of time with it. The amount of modules is pretty refreshing too. The one thing you're going to realize when moving from wordpress to an ecommerce platform is that a lot of the things that wordpress offered for free, the eCommerce platform is going to make you pay for.

WP becomes resource hog in case of some plugins.
You should try to use OpenCart - simple and has good features.

Yess, magento is a CPU intensive cart. But honestly if you are serious about owning an e-commerce venture it is worth the extra $10-$20 bucks a month to get a better server to run it on!

My recommendation is CS-Cart. It is not so popular like Magento, but is really nice and has a number of features included by default.

I grow weary of this place....

Have you bothered to read that stuff?(I am talking to the op) have someone check to see if you got hacked and or index.html is jacked up. It has shit to do with your e-commerce plugin.. But that does not matter to anyone else here, they just post things and blather on because its all spam.

Additionally, what sort of server is this running on. Its virtually impossible to jack up a wordpress instance but I will fix it for free just because it should take about a minute.
