WordPress = SEO Friendly + User Friendly Backend, Easy to Manage
Drupal = For bigger Applications & Websites, Need more expertise to update the website. Backend is not that user friendly.

I think WP is the best CMS. It's have a lot of plug-ins.
And joomla is my second choice for CMS.

It totaly depends on what functionality you want to have. If the website is mainly text-based with a few minor functions added on, then you would go with WordPress. If you are interested in multimedia or more complex functionality then Joomla is a better option. Thus when it comes to build up a complex and robust website full of features and functionality, you should go with Drupal. Go through this link to get clear information about choosing best CMS: http://hirejoomlaprogrammer.blogspot.in/2012/07/joomla-drupal-or-wordpress-which-cms-to.html

For content writing, WordPress is definitely the best. Joomla is great if you need more design-friendly cms. Drupal needs more IT knowledge.

For me wordpress has better seo inherently and has a greater support base in the uk; this means that it is easier (and cheaper) to find support and design resources.

The downside of wp is that developers are not creative enough and 80% of sites look like carbon copies.

It depends on what kind of site you are trying to build. I love and use wordpress for almost everything but a few sites I use Joomla.

It's Wordpress for me. But I still think the "best" depends on the person using it. ;)
